Chugging Along

Been Awhile but I am still here....


So much going on and most of it not pleasant. This has been one of the more turbulant times of my life. But we will get through and I know others have been through worse. I dont want to feel like I am complaining all the time. But in all reality, I dont say much. Aside from a bit of venting on Twitter....


But all the same I have so much to be thankful for..

Star Search

Some days I dont feel a day over 29. But then I would have been 17 when I had this star.













She brought tears to my eyes. The 3 girls that got picked were 15 and have done alot of performing. Including Telemiracle. But Frankie was the youngest and totally was in the top five.There were ten girls. She says i am only saying it because she is mine. Untrue,she was wonderful and ya she is mine but that doesnt count.

When we were going through infertility for all of those years people would always say maybe this summer,maybe in September. And just abit before I got pregnant,my mom said the same thing to me. And I told her oh no I think I am a winter breeder. And low and behold my baby that was soon to be concieved was due December 31st. He was late his sister was early. So Matteo was born 6 days before his sisters birthday. That birthday was a hard one for Frankie she was turning nine and people would phone and ask her about her baby brother and forget her birthday. She was so conflicted so happy to have a sibling that she had wanted for years. But after being the only child on both sides there were now 3 new babies. A hard adjustment but she took it all on like a champ.

A few things about Frankie:

She loves her brother(but he absolutely is a pest)
She loves music ( and is very talented)
She loves clothes
She loves brandname clothes
She loves hanging out with her friends
She has a large group of friends who are boys
She dislike alot of veggies ( but we can always find a few basics)
She doesnt really like to wear red ( but she looks really cute in it)
She has a quick temper
She cannot for the life her keep her room clean(worse than any child I have ever known)

last year of preteen and only 364 more days till she is a teenager..... yikes

New Year's Eve

Joe made us some Strawberry wine. I am not a drinker but with alittle sprite it was really good!

The Franklin concert. Matteo made it half way through.He had a missed his nap,so I new that we were headed for disaster...


Frankie didnt want to go.Sometimes the age gap is alittle difficult.Then we stayed in a hotel,that I have tried twice and I have decided i won't be staying there again.But of course since Matteo fell asleep at Franklin. He was all about partying at the hotel and didnt go to sleep until 1am.Yikes!!

Teach what we Preach

Today Matteo told his sister "put me down freak". And also said a swear to his dad. Needless to say I am less than happy about it and had to put his daddy in a timeout! {Ok,I must admit the freak thing took me by so much surprise,I laughed and hard}.But the swearing not so funny.

A big problem I have found in this house that daddy works away for two weeks at a time and it is getting really hard for him to remember we are not "the guys".He has never been an overly sensitive man,ok not sensitive at all. I make up for the both of us I think. But Matteo is so much more impressionable than Frankie. When she was four and got tricked into saying crap,she almost had a breakdown. Not my little man,it cracks him up and he listens intently for any type of bad word for correcting.I feel like this is an uphill battle that daddy doesn't think is such a big deal.

Matteo is such a handfull{like watching 3 kids},I do note need to add swearing to the mix!But on that not he can be so peaceful....

Happy Halloween,

Woody and the pirate will get ready soon. And Woody actually gets it this year,so he is really excited. It is kinda crazy to have one that wants to go out in a group and one that needs his mama!Be safe out there

Dreaming

Almost nine months later and Matteo can't stop talking about "Disneyland in California". Money well spent I think.
He even talks about it in his sleep.
I guess Frankie has decided "if you can't beat em,join em".

It is too early for this

It is way to early for this,couldnt we at least make it till Halloween!

And it is actually sticking. Everytime I look at weather network they push the snow onto the next day.We were expecting Saskpower to start digging this week,Maybe not now. It does look pretty though,but thats not the point.It is such a hassle.

Why did I move to Saskatchewan again?
Oh ya it is because I love this,

So,I guess we will stay inside and eat our Thanksgiving ham.And be thankful for all we have and the warm roof over our heads.... And maybe we will do "Loga" instead.

3 bugs in a rug

I dont know how they can sleep like this.... But they did all night. I was blessed with 2 kids who can sleep through anything.It is just the geting them to sleep thing.....


This bed has been called the "little Bed" at my Nonna's house for at least 32 years that I have been alive.{I am sure with a mattress change in there somewhere}.But the funny thing is I remember doing the same thing with my own cousins and know its our children.......

Frankie advanced two belts in Karate,she is now a orange belt. I am so proud of her. Her bestfriend that asked Frankie to join Karate with her,quit. And Frankie never faltered and said of course I want to join again. Qualities of a leader hopefully,not a follower.

And our Lobster feast. My mom and dad went on a holiday to Nova Scotia(my moms dream)and flew 10 lobsters and freash scallops home.Yummo! That blond guy is my dad and yes biological!People always thought I must have been from a previous marriage my mom had.But since they been together since she was 15 and got married straight out of highschool.Its highly unlikely!They just celebrated their 33rd.
Arent they cute.They both are going though some health scares right now,they have had so much stress with my brother.I hope they will both be ok and live long and healthy lives.Love you both.
